Jim founded Charter Title Company in 1982 and is Charter Title’s President. He has served as the past president of the Harris County Land Title Association, past President of the Texas Independent Title Agents Association and past President of the Texas Land Title Association. He was the Title Man of the Year for TLTA in 1997 and twice received the TLTA President’s award. He was Chairman of the Fort Bend YMCA and has served on numerous other charity boards. He is presently serving on the Texas Title Insurance Guaranty Board.
Jim received a BA degree from University of South Florida and a JD degree from the University of Houston Law School. He got into the business after serving four years in the United States Army as an infantry Officer and is a Vietnam war veteran.
